Diabetes is a chronic ailment. Till to date there is no cure for it. The diabetic symptoms develop gradually but if they become severe it could lead to many serious diabetic complications. The main signs of diabetes are

Kidney failureBlindnessDamage to the nervesMicro vascular illnesses (diseases related to smaller blood vessels)Macro vascular disease (related to hardening and narrowing of arteries which further leads to heart attacks and strokes)Diabetes is a chronic illness and is classified into two types.
Type 1 diabetesType 2 diabetesType 1 diabetes onsets because of the lack of the ability of the pancreas to produce insulin. This occurs because of an autoimmune disorder in the body. The autoimmune disorder damages the pancreatic beta cells which are responsible for the production of insulin. Type 1 diabetes is also termed insulin dependant or juvenile diabetes. This type of diabetes is more common in teenagers and young adults.
Type 2 diabetes onsets either because of decrease in production of insulin or because the cells are not responding effectively to the provided insulin. Type 2 diabetes is also termed insulin resistance. The body goes on secreting insulin even more rigorously.
Diabetes type 2 is due to low production of insulin or the receptors of the cells not reacting with the insulin produced. This condition is known as insulin resistance. Here the body secretes more and more insulin rigorously and so it develops a resistance by itself.
The good news about type 2 diabetes is that it is possible to control the diabetic condition naturally. The problem can be simply controlled by taking a well balanced diet, doing regular exercise and leading a physically active lifestyle.
Well balanced diet is the same healthy diet that is required for other healthier individuals. The diet must be full of nutrition. It is also recommended to consume the diet that contains plenty of dietary fiber. The examples of healthier food items for diabetics are peas, carrots, broccoli, apples, beans, dates and apricots.
Any kind of exercise is good for diabetics. The diabetics should opt the type of exercise which fits well in their daily routine or which they enjoy the most.
